Please read the following frequently asked questions to help before or after ordering.


"I don't drive a Porsche. Will these products work on my car?"
Yes. Our original BumperPlugs™ and Door Plugs™ work on just about every make and model. Holes that are drilled into the bumper may have to be enlarged a bit (1/4" is the ideal size), but our plugs will pop right in. Door Plugs may require trimming to fit (do not force) but they do work on many makes and models. In addition, we produce flawless painted interiors and carbon fiber for all highline vehicles worldwide.

"I don't see my color listed, can you make these products in my color?"
Yes. Custom colors are always available for an extra charge. However, please read the Colors page and Color Match link. With so many colors in stock, your color may be listed with an in stock match. These matches are always within 95% or better of your original color, and will work fine.

"Why is the shipping cost so high?"
Shipping charges are based on weight and on size of package. We use FedEx for most deliveries. Some smaller, less valuable items may ship by Priority Mail and that will be noted on the checkout page. We do our best to keep prices as reasonable as possible.

I don't have an office, can you ship my order to my residence?"
We can ship the order anywhere you like. In our many years of experience, delivery problems seem to be more likely with residential than commercial. If you have an office, please provide the company name and address upon checkout. If not, no worries, the order will ship where you instruct us to send it.

"I don't see what I want. What do I do now?"
Hit the contact page and send us email with your request. A significant amount of our work is custom ordered, and we are happy to accommodate nearly every request.

Do I have to order online, or can I call/fax the order in?"
We welcome your call, fax and email anytime. Our automated ordering system makes it easy to order items and checkout through a secure server. Your credit card data remains secure, and you receive electronic confirmation of the order. However, if you prefer, call us anytime.

"Hey, I only got one door plug, what's up with that?"
Door Plugs are listed as 'each' and are sold individually because most current models have only one key hole, on the driver's side. Check your car before ordering, and adjust the total based on the number of key holes you find.

"Do you instruct me how to install these parts?"
Just about everything we sell is a relatively simple self-install, and we send along instructions for the project.

"I ordered bumperettes and a painted console, do I have to send you mine first?"
No. Where noted on the order page, 'core exchange' indicates we will prepare the painted part for your vehicle, send it with instructions, and you send back your old part. That way you are never without the vehicle and you have all parts functioning. A fully refundable core charge is billed to you just prior to shipment. After you install the painted part, just send the old parts back in good, reusable condition for a full refund on the core deposit.

"Will my new painted rear console scratch?"
If you drop a brick on it, yes. Otherwise, our finish is more durable than the finish on the exterior of the vehicle, and will withstand a lot of abuse. We have customers with our interior painted parts in their cars for more than eight years, all looking good as new.

"What kind of finish do you put on these painted parts?"
We use a proprietary process to layer the finishes on the materials. Each part may have different requirements, but our 14-stage finish takes up to 11 full days to complete. Doing things this way results in absolute perfection. We use only factory chemistry, so that every part is an exact factory-matched finish to the vehicle.

"I live outside the United States, can I still order?"
We ship worldwide. Some areas may require higher shipping charges than US/Domestic, but we will notify you of that prior to shipping. For core exchange, international customers are liable for any duty on incoming or outgoing shipments.

"Why do some parts take so long to send out?"
We are perfectionists. We created a unique process for painting these materials, and we spent hundreds of man-hours perfecting it. The process cannot be rushed. We do our best to stock most items on the order page, but custom painted parts are placed into production upon order, and turned around as fast as possible. Bumper Plugs™, Door Plugs™ and other smaller items are always in stock.

"My friend owns a body shop and can do it for less, will you match the price?"
Our process is time-consuming, expensive, and unique. A typical body shop 'paint job' is nothing like the process we use. Our meticulous layering process results in flawless factory matched finishes using factory chemistry every time.

"I bought the wrong product, can I return it?"
Absolutely! Returns are handled by emailing or calling us with the details of the problem. We will instruct you on returning the item for exchange or refund. Shipping costs are non refundable.

"My dealer will handle the installation and ordering for me, is that ok?"
We work with dealers worldwide. You can specify delivery information on the payment page, or have them (dealer/installer) contact us on your behalf. We are happy to ship your items to the installer of your choice if you decide not to install them yourself.

"I am member of (insert club/forum/group here). What is my discount?"
We sponsor many message forums, charity events, and club gatherings around the country. We also do our best to produce the finest products for the automotive enthusiast, all while trying to keep prices as low as possible. We are also members of many of the automotive enthusiast clubs. However it is not possible for us to offer discounts below our already reasonably priced products. From time to time we do offer specials, as noted on our order page.

"My club is having an event, and we are seeking sponsors. Will BumperPlugs.com consider helping us?"
Gladly. We currently sponsor various events (some charity, some car club, some both). Contact us anytime with details of your club event. If we can make it happen, we are happy to help.
